These structures of the past require careful thought in their preservation as well as preparation for today’s function, including an understanding of their structure, condition, and municipal requirements for their re-purposing.
Because these structures represent the community in which they are built, in addition to their function, they carry the unique signature of ‘place’ and offer the opportunity to incorporate elements of its identity.
